Roxio VideoWave 5

Strengths: Good concept of video editing.

Weakness: Not compatible with Nero Burner & DVD Burner. Manual is poorly written. Audio and Video are not synchronize.

This program is suppose to be good in capturing and editing videos from recorded video tapes. Unfortunately, it is giving me a problem on compatibility with CD & DVD burners. It will erase the O.S. Windows file "Win ASPI" that the other software/driver is using. The program always giving you an error warning of "Illegal activity, the program will be terminated" and this is the reason why I always...

Roxio VideoWave 5

Strengths: Looks pretty

Weakness: Manual is very difficult to follow. Learning program is by trial and error. I was never able to make a mpeg-2 dvd and the technical support was useless. Things may change since the purchase by Roxio, but so far I have had nothing but problems.

I spent hours trying to figure out the program. The manual is incomplete and almost impossible to follow. The help feature is just a repeat of the manual. Although I was able to make DVD's on CD I was never able to make an MPEG-2 on DVD. Their technical assistance was useless.
