Palm One Tungsten W PDA

Strengths: None

Weakness: Only works with AT&T, which sucks

I bought it mainly because it takes SIM card to make wireless phone calls. It turns out that the ones sold in US is fixed(in ROM) to work with AT&T only. I travel a lot all over the world and am hoping I could plug in different SIM card to make calls depending on where I am. Palm One Tungsten W PDA

Strengths: Had no chance to test this.

Weakness: It works only with AT&T.

I don't know what Palm was thinking lcoking it with AT&T. This is not clear at all on Palm's site. They should have had this in bold and flashing! Avoid it like the plague unless you enjoy getting ripped off.

Palm One Tungsten W PDA

Strengths: It has all included. You can talk on the phone while you work with your microsoft documents! You can download pictures, etc. etc. And use it every where you go!

Weakness: It´s a little weird to talk with it, but I´ll get use to it.

I don´t know about the ATT ones, but I bought mine in Telefonica Movil, Chile and I can use it wherever. I live in Argentina, and I just use a Telecom Personal SIM card and it works.

Palm One Tungsten W PDA

Strengths: QWERTY keyboard, responsive OS, comfortable size, familiar Palm functions, mobile phone capability.

Weakness: Poor phone functions, headset only for mobile calls, very little memory, No Bluetooth or LAN.

The Bottom Line. This is a good connected PDA with a poor mobile phone slapped on. Devoted Palm users will love the added convenience of a mobile phone. However, Palm should stop comparing and competing their products against today’s Herculean Pocket PCs.
