Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 60 GB Internal Hard Drive -...Strengths: Great 133 7200rpm Drive, never had any problems with it so far, dependable data storage and great main drive Weakness: could always be cheaper A little bit faster than my old 100 2mb 7200rpm 40gb drive from Maxtor which locked up after a good 3 years of screaming hot tempuratures from my old room that wasn't insulated at all.

Poor quality, poor warranteeStrengths: None (A strength is supposed to be something better than other brands/models. All drives come with useless install CDs!) Weakness: Failed within 1.5 years. 1 Yr warrantee. Maxtor brand is not know for being super fast, super quiet, or durable. I think the only way they must stay in buisness is by having $50 rebates on $90 drives at office depot and stores alike. Get ready to pay twice when you have to replace it. Maxtor DiamondMax Plus 9 60 GB Internal Hard Drive -...Purchased this drive from a good online dealer, drive wouldn't even format. Returned it, got another one; this one finally did format (after two attempts), but crashed within 2 hours of initial OS install. Both started making clicking sounds right before the BIOS failed to even recognize that there was a drive on the board. Needless to say, I'm not a Maxtor fan after this. I'm sticking with... Installed Maxtor HD on my computer recently. My first attempt at working on my computer. Jumper settings clearly marked, but directions for booting from the included CD are not crystal clear. Overall, feel like this is a good purchanse. Hard drive runs very quietly
