good

Strengths: multiple functions; excellent sound quality

Weakness: short battery life

I am happy with this phone so far. It looks stylish and the color is freshing. The only complain I have is the short battery life. You need replace the battery in order to get it working for a long conversation. Otherwise, it is a great phone.

Panasonic KX-TG2740S Cordless Telephone

Strengths: Speaker phone, Multi Handset option available, Two Line capable

Excellent Phone but Worst Battery I have ever used...

Strengths: Nice looking phone. Nice to have 2 lines in one phone with digital answering machine(replaced my old uniden with 2 lines).

Weakness: Heard about the battery problem. I think its better to switch over to NiMH one.

And its good I can add any other compatiable phone not some restriced models only. I will update how it is after couple of weeks.I have had bad experience with panasonic customer service regarding a previous phone, so we have to wait and watch for this one. Updating after using for 5 months. the original panasonic battery started causing lot of problems. I couldnt even talk for more than 10...

Panasonic KX-TG2740S Cordless Telephone

Strengths: All the right features.

Weakness: Phone distance is terrible. Sound quality of answering machine and outgoing message terrible. NO customer service.

Ok, this phone had all the right features. There are very few two line cordless phones with answering machine to choose from. I have the base unit in the kitchen and I lose the signal when I am only about 15 feet away! No the walls are not made of steel. I can be in site of the base and the people I'm talking to tell me they are "losing" me. I walk back to within about 9 feet of the base and they...

Panasonic KX-TG2740S Cordless Telephone

Strengths: Multiple handsets, appearance

Weakness: None found to date.

This unit was purchased as a replacement for an older Panasonic 2-line phone (lightning strike). Even with its numerous features, it is very easy to program. The screens on both the base unit and the handset(s) are very readable. The sound quality is just a good as the replaced unit, maybe better. And with the ability to add up to 8 handsets, this unit is excellent for houses that have a limited...

Don't buy this phone!

Strengths: None worth mentioning.

Weakness: Short battery life. Low volume. Short range from base, to pick up signals for satellite phones. The screens often go blank on three of four satellite phones, so you can't view caller ID.

I've had this phone for more than a year, so based on longer-term use, I can say that I'm very disappointed in this product for the above-mentioned reasons. I thought I'd give it one more chance in my new house, hoping it would somehow work better with different physical distances between phones, but the same problems exist. I'm shopping for a new system right now...

A very nice phone with a lot of features.

Strengths: 2 caller IDs. 2.4Ghz does not interfere with wireless internet acess. Great color.

Weakness: Panasonic not the best to deal with in regards with rebates.

This phone is a very good phone with many features. Caller ID on both Handset and on base. I can't say much bad about phone but I got this phone with a rebate sent to Panasonic. And lets just say you might not get that money without a fight and atleast 6-8 months later and many calls.

Panasonic KX-TG2740S Cordless Telephone

Strengths: Dual keypad & speaker

Weakness: Less battery life

Have explandable option and 2 line capability. Less battery life and additional handsets are expensive. Good phone for the price paid. Need to go for NI MH battery to improve the battery perfomance

Panasonic KX-TG2740S Cordless Phone

Weakness: Very low volume, Message indicator which is hard to see, Expensive and hard to find Extra handsets,

So far this is working fine. but I am dissappointed wiht the handset low volume. Some times it is very hard to hear from the otherperson. The answering machine working fine. But the message indicator light is very hard to see from distance. The handset receiption quality is very good. I liked the speakerphone feature a lot. great all around fax machine for light to moderate...

Strengths: paper feeds through cleanly, no jams at all. phone is an added bonus in convenience

Weakness: none

first off, replace the battery with the energizer NIMH ER-P511. the standard battery shipped with this item is NICD, with a capacity that doesn't hold the charge very long. the fax machine is intended for light faxing. it uses paper rather than film (good to save money). prints with an ink film roll rather than ink cartridge (cartridges can be pricier, and also dry out if used...
