The advantage with ADR. technology is that frequent cleaning is not necessary. Cleaning is recommended as a matter of good housekeeping. For drives that operate where smoke or dust may be present, OnStream recommends cleaning once every 90 days. In a normal office environment, less frequent cleaning is fine. More frequent cleaning is recommended only in the most demanding applications. Use of a cleaning cartridge is not a requirement to maintain the warranty of the drive itself.
