To Overclock Or Not To Overclock

Strengths: Good image quality, Fast card without overclocking, single slot design, quiet cooling, VIVO

Weakness: A little long for some cases, doesn't overclock well.

This ATI reference version of the x1950pro is a good card for anyone who wants very good performance in games and graphics right out of the box. Without overclocking, this card can beat it's nearest competitors that have similar out of the box specifications. Those being the Nvidia Geforce 7900GT and 7950GT. There is also a price advantage for this card over those other two. The cards long design...

One of the Best DirectX 9 video card

Strengths: Fast 3D for fair price. Crossfire capable.

Weakness: Fan runs loud. Slightly power hungry.

Radeon X1950 Pro is probably one of the best DirectX 9 video card that can be purchased for under $200. The performance of this video card is probably not as fast as the XT or XTX versions of the Radeon video cards, but it still offer stunning 3D speed for fairly good price. The video card itself is Crossfire capable, unlike previously where a "master" card is required, to run in Crossfire mode...

power effective one slot card

Strengths: 80nm cool running 36 shaders with full AVIVO, great PQ one slot, almost silent fan on copper HS, way better then x1900xt turbine

Weakness: not as fast as 7900GT, ATI "custom" CAT - no Cat 6.10 yet that supports x1950PRO

If you can get this card for $200 - go for it it would be the best price / performance card as of today. At $300 price tag it doesn't make much sense as you can get x1900xt (or could) for less that is faster and 7900GT OC is fater at 550 to 600 mhz then x1950PRO But, if you need ONE slot card then x1950PRO is the best card at below $250 price for HDR and Oblivion game.

ATI X1950 PRO

Strengths: only 80nm video card available as of now, best midrange card around

Weakness: costs more than competing manufacturer's cards

Best bang for you hard-earned buck. Buy it cause you will not regret the purchase! No need for a crossfire card anymore--just buy another one and voila you have crossfire.

ZipZoomFly is the best.

Strengths: Great communications, excellent service, speedy notifications , current availability status and competitive pricing.

Weakness: Not all top quality components are available.

Performs excellent service, communications and great pricing. I highly recommend this company for all purchases. Never have had a bad moment with this company. This company is accurate, informative and very well maintained. Great job.

ATI Radeon x1950 Pro

Strengths: Fast, easy to install and very robust.

Weakness: After owning and using this card for the last 7 weeks I have found none.

I have been a PC user for the last 20 years and have used many manufacturers video cards. For the last 8 years I have been an avid use of ATI products and the X1950 Pro keeps the streak going. Although I still play games I'm not a big gamer any longer. My interests are now into multimedia particularly video and this card does a wonderful job in producing and rendering video. Whether you're a...

Great Video Card for the money

Strengths: 1. Great 2D picture quality compare to Nvidia 2. Be able to run most games 3. Giantic heatsink

Weakness: too big to fit in some smaller case

This card used to be somewhat overpriced for more than $300. But you could get it for less than $200. This is the best card for the money. It runs F.E.A.R. at 1152x864 maximum effect with average 55 fps.

Great Card

Strengths: I can run everything on high in BF2142. Upgraded from a Radeon x850xt. No comparison! Image quality is excellent. Crossfire is integrated, so no need for a crossfire master card:)

Weakness: Does not support DX10.

A great card for a great price! Excellent performance for a $200 range video card. I would recommend this card for anyone not yet ready to spend the money on a DX10 card, but looking to upgrade their older video card.

Getting ready for Microsoft Vista

Strengths: Nice control center software; Decent price tag; Very quiet; Responsive tech support - quick emails answering questions

Weakness: Will not stretch games across 2 monitors. ATI said that games have to be written to handle 2 monitors. I had to uninstall/reinstall the Catalyst software as it was not keeping my custom settings.

My card only took up one slot (no vents) unlike the picture associated with this review. The card looks like a piece of artwork - very well designed. Even the connectors that came with it smack high quality. This card operates very quietly - more so than I expected. My computer doesn't even sound like there is an external video card of this magnitude inside. One note, you MUST have a 400+W power...

Cool 80nm, fast GPU, and overlockable!

Strengths: It is more affordable and easier to set up; stronger performance than most cards of the same price, Dual HDMV connection

Weakness: Great in most games, but sometimes it seems like the 256MB memery is not enough.

If you're looking for a gaming card to run Vista and play most games, ATI's Radeon X1950 Pro is good for you, though it's not perfect. I like it, but still thinks that the 3d lags sometime. For the price, anyways, it's great

HIS X1950 Pro IceQ 3 Turbo Dual DVI 256MB GDDR3 PCI Express Video Card

With the holidays right around the corner many enthusiasts are in the market for a brand new video card. Some may want the fastest card out there, regardless of its price, which means they would probably want NVIDIA's newest card, the 8800. Others are looking to upgrade their card that they've had for the past 3-4 years and is a couple generations old. They don't want to spend a lot of money but...
