Excellent Portable DriveStrengths: This product is very nice , it is small and sleek. The drive just works and that is the way it should be. It shows up in windows as a normal hard drive not a removable one. Weakness: The plastic case is a little flimsy but it does make the drive lighter. The drive just works and that is the way it should be. It shows up in windows as a normal hard drive not a removable one. It is very small and light. 120GB capacity is good it also comes with a case. The soft small blue led is nice and not too bright. It's fast at 33mb's throughput for single large files. No external power adapter needed. It is a nice addition to your laptop as additional storage.

Great idea -- if the product lasted and/or Western...Strengths: small size, weight, portability, capacity Weakness: Product failed after about 10 hrs power on; lousy customer service I love the drive, but I’m here to tell you all that Western Digital is one messed up company. My drive crashed and needs to be replaced (under warranty). It took 4 business days, not the 1 business day the web site promises, to get an email reply. The instructions were incomplete and it took several message exchanges (2 more days) before I got adequate instructions to confirm the drive is...

Beautiful Little Drive that won't work with my G4...Strengths: Sleek, beautiful. Great price per GB. Weakness: Not the drive's fault, but G4 Powerbooks owners beware... This drive will not work with your G4 Powerbooks or at least it did not work with mine. Bus power issue. There is a special Y-USB cable you can purchase. I didn't. USB ports one on each side of Powerbook too far away.) So I had to return it to Costco (Canada - where mine came with a carrying case!) who had it on for $119 Cdn ($104 USD). Such a nice compact little drive it looks like it should be...

WS 120 GB HD reviewStrengths: Excellent drive. large capacity, fast access speeds, USB bus powered only--no AC adapter required. Weakness: The casing could be sturdier, but it still withstands daily commutes and use. This is a minor criticism and should not sway a purchasing decision. Manuf. warranty could be longer (only 1 year). I'm quite happy with the purchase. I'd recommend this drive to anyone who needs a large-capacity ultraportable HD. The drive is sleek, reliable, and worth consideration if you have a need for such a device. WD has proven to be rather reliable, as I've owned several other drives made by them and not had any problems. This drive's worth considering (and purchasing).

NOTE: Cypress AT2LP RC42Strengths: Small, cute Weakness: Highly fragile I bought this 50 days ago. Suddenly, my laptop stop recognize this device. I connected Windows Machine. Windows machine was trying to find "Cypress AT2LP RC42" instead of 'WD Passport", which does not exist. Anybody who are thinking to buy this product should google "Cypress AT2LP RC42 Western Digital".

WD passport II 120 gStrengths: Small size, light , stylish Weakness: attract dust like magnet I got this drive from buy.com for around $85 after google check out couple. For this price, it was steal. And you barely hear any noisy when its on. it also come with some WD sync softwares. it does not included the carrying case as I was hoping for.

Great little driveStrengths: Small; sleek looking; works as advertised Weakness: Expensive, but prices are dropping; may not work in all laptops I have owned many flavors or portable hard drives, including the predecesor to this one (this is the 2nd generation of the Passport series). I like the black color, and it is a tad smaller than the 1st generation. I plug it in, and it works! What more can I ask for. I put multiple partitions on the drive, and plan to do ghost images of my laptop hard drive to it (I deliberately partition my...

WD Passport Portable External 120GB 2.5" Hard Drive...Strengths: 111 GB!!! No AC adapter needed; small size Weakness: Maybe I formatted it wrong, but I can't get it to write from a Mac I love it!!! 111 gigs and it's small enough to fit in a pocket. A must have for PC users with low disk space. The software isn't all that great, but if you format it you can bypass the software and work it like a flash drive.

Beautiful Tiny Protable Hard DriveStrengths: Nice case with beautiful black coating Ultra compact design Easy to open the case Weakness: Ship with only regular USB cable No Optional AC adapter port No carrying case The case design is very compact and handy, I am able to open it easily and swap the hard drive inside. The coating of the case is very beautiful and can match lots of black gadget in the market like iPod and MacBook. The USB cable comes with the drive is a regular one port USB, which can not provide extra power for the drive, my laptop (Powerbook G4) for example, can not provide enough power this...

Western Digital Passport WDXMS1200
Housed in a shiny black case and sporting a single blue power LED indicator, the Western Digital Passport is one of the most stylish portable drives we've seen, and at $129, it's a good bargain. The 120GB USB drive weighs in at a mere 3.7 ounces and measures just 5.1 x 3.1 x 0.6 inches. Top

First notebook external HDD, very happy so far
Strengths: Attractive design (if you care), good software for backup
Weakness: None so far
I've had a number of standard external HDDs, but this is my first portable one. I'm very pleased so far. Transfers were quick enough, and I like the fact that its USB powered. The included software for backing up data is very good, and makes file transfers very simple (and automated). It's nice to have so much storage capacity in a device that will fit in your pocket. So, not sure what else there...
