Blazing fast and huge but not the quietestStrengths: Fast, huge space Weakness: noisier than Seagates The pluses are obvious: 500GB and SATA II, performs as expected. The drive appears to be a bit noisier than my Seagate or WD drives, but as I am using it in an external enclosure it does not matter. If this intended for a silent PC or HTPC application, you might want to look at another drive. If this is for some noisy high end tower, this is a great drive for the price.

This is a excellent drive I have ever seenStrengths: Large hard drive, fast speed, five-year limited warranty Weakness: noisy than I expected Good price from outpost.com, just $129. Such a good price for a 500G SataII hard drive it more than enough! It has jumper of setting Sata 1.5Gb(default)/3.0Gb that makes me confused which one to put. Anyway, it works as fast as it supposed to be and I dumped my Sansumg 80G hard disk.

MaxLine Pro 500 500GB Hard DriveStrengths: MaxBlast Software Weakness: Drive can be noisy. I purchased this 500GB dtive to boost my PC (Dell XPS 400) total capacity to 750GB -- in anticipation of Windows Vista, and all it has to offer. The drive came as a retail kit, which included the drive, a SATA cable, mounting screws, MaxBlast software, and installation guide. The directions in the guide were accurate and quite simple. The MaxBlast software had the capability to setup my new drive...

Awesome drive, hotStrengths: Size, very quiet, fast, easy install Weakness: Gets hot Bought this drive for my p5b-f system, I got the drive in first and decided to install it first in my external case that only has passive cooling. It got EXTREMELY hot, so hot I could not touch it. I didn't use it in the external case after that and installed it with my p5b-f. I did notice right away that this drive is VERY quiet. Hooking up sata (a first for me) was very easy. No jumpers to set....

Good price/GB ratio
Strengths: excellent price, large capacity drive, speed
Weakness: hot, can be noisy
This is a good drive for the price. The drive gets noisy when in use, and seems to run quite hot. But it performs solidly thus far, and can be gotten at a very good price.
