Cheap way to get outlook 2007

Strengths: Did not have to spend big bucks on the office suite of which no one likes. But when it comes to email I get a lot of requests for outlook 2007

Weaknesses: Does not upgrade properly

Review: Good alternative to purchasing the expensive suite. But has problems upgrading when you have an older version of office and install this as a standalone. When you go to upgrade it microsoft thinks you have office 2007 and will not upgrade properly.

Review: I purchased Project Standard 2007 with my new laptop. For basic work planning the 2007 version does not offer much more than Project 2003. It does look like Microsoft has done a lot of work on collaboration and the server side of the product suite. I have never used Project Server, so I really cannot comment. Strengths: Full featured 'Office' suite.

Weaknesses: Lotus software is no longer 'main stream'.

Review: Lotus SmartSuite 9.8.1 is a software business suite comparable, in type, to Microsoft Office and, in fact, in the past was a viable competitor. This update brings previous SmartSuite users compatibility with newer Office versions. It is probably a poor choice for anyone who is not already using an older version of SmartSuite.

Weaknesses: Although a tad slower than ACT 5 and ACT 6, it compensates by being able to handle hundreds of thousands of contacts as well as numerous users.

Review: I have used ACT! for years and installed/used every version since ACT! 2000. I can honestly say that ACT! 2007 is by far the best version they have put out. It is amazingly flexible. I love the seamless email integration with Outlook. Much better than previous versions. Our whole company runs on it - 15 users.
