Weaknesses:  Honestly? My only complaint so far (Ive had it for 3 months) is that the print is so small on the remote! I have to get my readers out to figure out...
Review: I got this for my special-needs son. I can just download the movie onto my computer, then load it onto the flash drive. He is too rough on DVDs, but can do this independently. LOVE IT!

Strengths:  Viera works with Panasonic Viera TV. Has flexible recording allowing recording to fit exactly on a disk. Allows "search" to scan the disk.
Weaknesses: Upconversion only available with DVD-RAM disk. Output is standard definition.
Review:  Output is not "near HD" quality, but standard definition. Upconversion is SD but allows full widescrean only with DVD-RAM disk, all others are 4:3 and leave picture smaller or with black edges on the screen. An upconversion recorder is not usefull with a standard 4:3 HD or SD TV. It is nice to not have to use 2 remotes if you have a Viera TV (Panasonic). Operation is not exactly EZ and...
