Kingston ValueRAM 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Economically priced true PC3200 DDR; Lifetime Warrantee from a reputable company (Kingston).

Weakness: CAS3; Slower than memory bus performance; Non-ECC (not necessarily a weakness).

I just installed these DDR sticks in a Dell PowerEdge 400SC. You can't really go wrong with Kingston memory considering it's the grand daddy of after market memory when Samsung and Micron were considered generic brands, and lifetime warrantee here means you deal with Kingston if something were to go wrong, not some shady garage shop. And it also means these are true PC3200, not some overclocked PC2700.

But it's called ValueRAM for a reason. The timings according to CPU-Z are 3, 3, 3, 8, which is mediocure at best. Installed in dual channel configuration (slots 1 and 3 in a 400SC), Sandra reports memory bandwidth of 4500MB/sec, which is at least 500MB/sec behind better timed memory modules. If you are not interested in the fastest, most overclockable sticks, these will do just fine for your daily computing needs. But if getting that extra juice out of memory is your thing, better leave these sticks alone, you'll be dissappointed.

One other thing, if you need ECC capability, go for the KVR400X72C3AK2/1G for a little more.

Kingston ValueRAM 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: This RAM is working very well for me. It was relatively inexpensive and seems very fast. The peace of mind that comes with knowing that Kingston will warranty it for its lifetime is priceless.

Weakness: Its RAM, its fast, and its warrantied...what weaknesses could it possibly have?

Kingston has done a nice job with this product. Kingston value-RAM is fast, compatible, and warrantied. The product is great for dual-mode motherboards. Highly recommended for the price which is usually around $166 for 1Gb!

Kingston ValueRAM 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Completely compatible with my Dell Dimension 4600.

Weakness: None.

I wanted to add 1GB to my Dell and still keep the original 512MB Micron RAM. The Kingston kit fit what I was looking for - PC3200, 400MHz, CL3, dual channel. And the kit was much less expensive than the aftermarket RAM that Dell sells. Installation was a snap, and BIOS settings weren't affected. Now I'm running happily with 1.5GB.

Kingston ValueRAM 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: I like Kingston's memory products, the DDR RAM is working very well for me.

Weakness: I have not seen any so far

Works really well with my 3D games. My other pc also has RAM from Kingston (SDRAM), like I said I like the company and the product. The upgrades have always been quick and clean and boot was without incident. I would highly recommend Kingston.

Kingston ValueRAM 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Its fast and it works...

Weakness: none so far...

Installed the kingston 1 gig of ddr memory on MSI neo2ls motherboard running the Intel 2.8 gig processor. Upgrade was quick and clean and boot was without incident. Easy to see why MSI recommends kingston memory as I have tried other "cheaper" brands without success! I would highly recommend Kingston memory.

This product was quick to ship and very easy to install. I can now run several applications simultaneously without feeling my computer slowing down at all. This is a great product that I would highly recommend. There is no trade-off in quality at this low price. It is a great deal.

Kingston ValueRAM 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: Works

Weakness: Value Ram

Works as I hoped. Don't fall for the gimmic of trying to sell you those cooling plates, you don't really need them. Noticed it was called Value Ram, which made it feel cheepish. But it works.

Kingston ValueRAM 1GB DDR SDRAM Memory Module

Strengths: This is fast memory. Reliable manufacturer. Price for bang is great!

Weakness: None that I know of.

I have used Value Ram from Kingston for over 3 years in all my machines and never had a problem with it. I imagine that cl 2 or 2.5 would be faster but I don't think I would notice a big difference in what it would do compared to the big difference in cost. My nf7-s motherboard is running at an "optimal" setting as per the bios at 7-3-3-2.5 and it seems to be running excellently (As well as the fastest I've ever seen!). The dual memory processors kicked in without a hitch and I'm flying! I am very satisfied with this RAM and will probably use it until I build my next computer with a 64 bit processor and the next outrageous mb and video card! Not untill prices are a bit more reasonable though.

Kingston ValueRAM 1 Gb

Strengths: Works Great! Compatible with PNY RAM.

Weakness: None.

The 1 Gb brought my system up to close to 2 Gbs. Interestingly, the name on the Kingston module is the same as that on the memory that came with my Dell. It looks like Dell uses the same memory. Works
