you gotta love it..Strengths: Fast, fast, fast...increases overall PC performance, beautiful graphics, low power consumption Weakness: nothing major... I have emachine T3256, not a powerful let alone just a gaming machine what so ever... Before I bought this card I upgraded my RAM to 1.5GB hoping it would give a little extra boost to my fairly average budget PC. Well, I must say I couldn't really tell the difference to say the least ;< 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Great card but it could have been better...Strengths: Close to top-of-line gaming graphics. TV is a nice feature. Weakness: NOT even close to real Tivo. Remote Wonder is a complete waste if you have Dish/DirectTV/Digital Cable. Can't run F.E.A.R. at max settings. I bought this card thinking "Oh how wonderful it will be to have TIVO on my computer!" The DVR-like function of this card is worthless. It is only good if you have basic cable. The 90% of us that have Dish/Digital Cable will find ourselves using our normal remote, and putting the Remote "Wonder" in a drawer. I have a Dell 2405FPW LCD monitor and it has PIP which I used to watch TV before I bought the All-in-wonder. Honestly the PIP of the Dell's S-video input was better quality than the ATI TV software, but being able to resize the TV window any way I want and pausing and rewinding live TV are nice All-in-Wonder features. I would not buy this again if I could pause and rewind life. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI 800 xl All in WonderStrengths: Good fast graphics Weakness: Poor TV tuner and installation process; weak drivers. Had it about 5 months. Installation was a pain; have to install multiple pieces in right order to get all to work and no explanation given. Nvidia cards are much easier to set up. Had a 9600 All in wonder first and found out after trying to set up that it didn't work with USB sound cards. Called tech support and they advised they had been in meeting that day and figured it out. 100% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner CardStrengths: Flawless gaming experience, runs beautifully as a card, TV/radio/remote features to boot! Weakness: A bit pricey, bundled software is second-rate, some minor driver issues that need to be resolved. Blazingly fast card for everything out there today even after maxing out all the settings. Counter-Strike: Source runs at 70 fps with 16x AF and 8x AA at 1280 x 1024, with all other settings maxed. This card is unbelievable! It uses less power, takes up less space, runs quieter and is the most powerful card I have ever owned. No need to overclock, but I hear it’s great at that, too. 89% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner CardStrengths: AWESOME!! Ripped up the benchmarks, lots of options for TV and multimedia. Now has FM reciever. I like the new domino block breakout boxes. LOTS of accessories! Free HDTV domino block (just pay S/H) Weakness: not a X850 XT or X850 PE. Stock HS/F kinda sucks. Re-uses old Theater 200 chip. Does not come with any games OR demos! Was looking forward to seeing Ruby again... This is a SWEEEET lookin' card with all the "gold" trimmings. It's like "Pimp My GFX Card" ATI!! The box itself weighed like a gold brick let alone the card. When you pick up the card you can feel how solid, heavy, it is. ATI improved the HS/F design but it's still kinda illogical. It should follow the Arctic Cooling designs... blow air OUT of the case. Card performs great on benchmarks!! Beats my old ATI AIW 9800 Pro hands down. I can play games at maxed outsettings and the card doesn't even break a sweat. Kinda scary if you think about it. It came with a ton of accessories for all the multimedia stuff. I like the stackable "domino" breakout boxes. They made the back end of the card less crowded with connections. .or rather pulled the connections out further away from the computer. There's still a ton of wires to hook up. I was really bummed that they didn't upgrade the Theater chip. It still re-uses the old Theater 200 chip and not the new Theater 550 chip that's on the TV Wonder Elite. The difference is that the Theater 550 has full h/w MPEG2 encoding while the Theater 200 only does "h/w assisted" MPEG encoding. Oh well... it's still as good as the AIW 9800 Pro. Great card for people into multimedia hobby and hard core gaming. 86% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner CardStrengths: The All-In-Wonder X800 XT is every bit as fast as a standard Radeon X800 XT, and offers 85%-95% of the performance of ATI's current flagship Radeon X850 XT Platinum Edition. Weakness: The only things that detract from the All-In-Wonder X800 XT is the slight lag that when switching between TV channels and the fact that this card is only available for AGP. The bottom line is that the ALL-IN-WONDER X800 XT is the highest-performing, most feature-packed, sacrifice-free ALL-IN-WONDER product ATI has produced to date. This is the new benchmark in multimedia performance cards, and while its $400 price tag may seem a little high at first, when you factor in everything you’re getting, it’s actually a pretty solid value. 85% of readers found this review helpful. ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner CardStrengths: Serious video card for serious gamer, TV/FM functions are nice addons Weakness: Expensive, sub-par TV software The main reason I got this ATI AIW X800 XT is to play popular 3D games at MAX settings, namely 83% of readers found this review helpful. ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner CardStrengths: Gaming performance is outrageous, no worries there. Simultaneous DVI and VGA is awesome. Weakness: The TV tuner is different. Theres a slight delay in processing the signal. I will hear an echo because of the ATI's tuning latency. Switching channels also slower. Generally is a superb video card. Great buyThe digital sound is generally an improvement (no more analog conversion and wires to connect)Simultaneous DVI and VGA is awesome. 82% of readers found this review helpful. ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner CardStrengths: Lightning Fast!! Weakness: Connector for AV plugs seems a bit flimsy Excellent card which I upgraded from the AIW 9600 PRO. I went from a 12,000 to a 22,000 on 3Dmark 2001. You also get a free HDTV expansion pack with coupon in box. 80% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner CardStrengths: Super fast. TV and radio features are nice additions. Weakness: Recent software updates have improved the sound synchronization issue associated with the TV features, but it still is not fully corrected. This is an unbelievably fast video card. It allows us to run all the latest games at 1024 x 768 with all the graphical features turned up. It's amazing how much better games look with antialiasing, etc. cranked up. The TV/PVR and radio features are great pluses for the card as well. It does have a problem (for one or two seconds) synchronizing sound with video every now and then, but recent software updates have improved this to the point where it is very infrequent and not really a significant distraction. Great card! Well worth it if you can get it for under $300! 80% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner CardStrengths: Blazing fast performance even with quality settings set to max..3 times as fast as my other 9600 AIW... Weakness: Unaccepable performance if you use it as a gaming console due to the lag...and channel switching is 1/2 sec lag....supplied software is sub par. Strange how my older AIW Radeon 7500 on my other computer suffers none of the lag that this card does...perhaps maybe newer is not always better...but as far as gaming goes...ya can't go wrong with this card. 80% of readers found this review helpful. ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner CardStrengths: Still AGP so it can be passed down to the next computer. Weakness: None so far that I can tell. I picked this card up mainly because it was the fastest AGP card I could find. I already had a 6800 and this card is roughly 50% faster with everything cracked up. The fan is also quieter than on my 6800 which is nice. 75% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner CardStrengths: High performance graphics, TV tuner, FM tuner, great software package, and RemoteWonder II with great range. Weakness: Slight lag in changing TV channels. Software package does not include any gaming software to "hi-lite" the graphics technology of the Radeon X800 XT Visual processor unit. Fantastic graphics! Outstanding 3D performance in both DX9 and OpenGL applications. ATI is now using input/output dongles which look like "stackable dominos" which make connecting inputs and outputs very easy. ATI has included an excellent software package that allows you to capture, edit and convert videos to DVD for use in home and in creating web presentations, but does not include any gaming software. 73% of readers found this review helpful. Jul 20, 2005 The lag in changing channels is due to the fact that this card streams audio through the AGP bus instead of directly to a sound card via a audio cable, like the older AIW's did. The solution: Use Catalyst 4.11 drivers and run an audio cable to your sound card as if it was an older card until ATI fixes the issue. Wahlah! instant channel switching and console gaming is beautiful.

ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner CardStrengths: Extremely good gfx performance, one of the best single card solutions compact card combines many features into one package (TV, FM, VIVO, HD, Dual Display) into single slot solution, saves space Weakness: not the latest and greatest TV tuner (Theater 200 instead of theater 550 chip) not a complete hardware mpeg-2 decoding solution considerable heat generated acceptable, but not superior, svideo input I've tested this card on several games: It plays most popular current games at MAX settings at acceptable frame rates, including Half-Life 2, Unreal Tournament 2004, Call of Duty, World of Warcraft, etc. It comes with plenty of cables for plugging in stuff, but it looks like only either the HD component outs OR the RCA composite outs can be connected. The TV tuner quality is good if the cable signal is strong, but when I tried to receive some off air channels I started to see effects and blurriness. It comes with ATI's suite of players and file managers, which is pretty cool, and its supposed to use hardware assisted playing of DVDs for example, and for capturing s-video. Overall I recommend this card because of its good price for all the features it consolidates. 70% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner CardStrengths: •Performs very well - Able to max out graphics options on Counter-Strike: Source and gameplay doesnt hinder with any lag. •Excellent TV quality than my Leadtek Expert •ATI 3 year warrenty Weakness: •Not availible in PCI-E •Price may be expensive for an AGP card which are phasing out •No aftermarket cooling availible as of yet I'm happy with the card. I am able to play games, watch TV and listen to the radio. I wish ATI would have gone with a vented PCI slot cooler since the card does get hot. 67% of readers found this review helpful. ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner CardStrengths: Very fast graphics card with great picture. A lot of very nice features for the T.V. ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner CardStrengths: Great card, awesome graphics. Weakness: Fairly expensive at > $400 This is a wonderful card that will handle everything thrown at it with great ease. At first I was not happy with the $400 bill but after a while I realize that for how long this card will last me it is probably worth it. No compatibility issues, solid as a rock. 63% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner CardStrengths: Absolutely great graphics, can handle all the new games. Great at replacing your TV and radio. The TV is clear and crisp on my screen, and being able to rip mp3's from the radio is a great addition. Weakness: Is not easily OCed, and it doesn't have dual DVI's which would make watching TV on your computer much easier. Great card for people who need to be able to game, and have the extras that the AIW includes. Would recommend for gamers and those who just need the extra features of the AIW, if they can eat the price. 56% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

SOFTWARE STINKSStrengths: As far as a video card goes its very good. Cat 6.3 drivers work but MMC is a FAILURE Weakness: ATI MMC 9.13 software is horrible, Have installed and uninstalled at least 10 times with different problems each time. TV and remote are the big problems and ATI support BLOWS WHAT I SAID ABOVE SOMES IT UP TOO BAD BECAUSE I REALLY WISH I COULD GIVE 5 STARS. LOOK AT RAGE3D forums before you buy. 0% of readers found this review helpful. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

not compatible with VistaStrengths: I bought this in November, and was stunned to learn that ATI would not be providing support for the TV tuner functionality within Vista. This is a ridiculous decision by ATI. I've now had to go out and buy a new graphics card by NVIDIA in order to get my TV to work in Vista. ATI says they are phasing out the All in Wonder line, so don't buy this if you think you'll want to upgrade to Vista. Ever. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Poor SoftwareWeakness: Software is next to worthless. Give yourself 15-20 minutes every Sunday to "update" TV listings. To my knowledge you can't record a channel you're not watching. Controls are buggy and counter intuitive. Difficulty deleting recorded TV. The card will not switch display from landscape to portrait when I rotate the screen. I would not buy again. ATI All-In-Wonder X800 XT Graphics/TV Tuner Card
Strengths: Great graphics, TV tuner very much improved.
Weakness: Had to download the driver updates to get it to work.
I bought this and a hdtv wonder card at the same time. I had to figure out how to get both to work together by myself. The installation cd that came with the card was only used for verification to download the dvd codec. The tech support webpage was almost no help at all, and made a relatively easy installation difficult. I knew it would be difficult to install when I bought the card, but my experience with other ATI products, the specs of the X800-XT and the price made the choice easy. I am very satisfied with this card.
