Logitech Telephone and PC Headset

Strengths: Wonderful for use with a PC as a wireless headset - listening to music, audio chats using internet messengers, recording voice annotations, using voice recognition software.

Weakness: One earphone speaker. Also I could not get it to work with my particular telephone.

I bought 2 of these units for less than $10 each online somewhere. My main goal was to use them with MSN messenger audio chats, to talk with my military brother stationed in Germany. It works great for this purpose, saving us lots of money on long distance phone bills. Keep in mind this can also be done without this unit (using a regular PC microphone and speaker setup) - however this Logitech unit makes it VERY convienient to walk around the house while chatting. I only use it within 20 feet of the base and it works well, I cannot give you an idea of range with this unit. I also only use it for short periods of time, 1-2 hours - so I cannot give you an idea of batter life either. Overall I have been very pleased, especially for the price.

Logitech Telephone and PC Headset

Strengths: Great holder for a headset

Weakness: After charging battery for over 24 hours, unit still cuts off during Internet PC and Regular Phone connections.

Purchased this unit with hopes of having hands free Cordless Internet Phone PC phone conversations. It was almost impossible to get off first base. The unit would not stay on. When it did stay on for a couple of minutes, it was very noisy. Though it advertises automatic transfer between PC and regular phone, I found it to be quite antiquated. When using the device as a cordless phone you have to set something on the cradle of the base, either a regular phone handset or the carry around unit itself, not so automatic! Since I purchased it on-line, with a 15% restocking fee and loss of shipping charges both ways it was not even worth returning. Don't waste your money!
