Strengths: Speed, stability, ease of installation
Weaknesses: None thus far
Summary: With this processor and an ABIT IP35 Pro mobo, and a mere 2GB of DDR2-800 RAM installed, I obtained the highest Passmark performance rating (900) of any system I ever put together. I chose the Intel Core 2 Duo, rather than the Quad, because I wasn't certain whether the Quad had been on the market long enough to prove its potential superiority. I'm very happy with this CPU and the overall performance and stability of the system I built around it.

Strengths: Fast, Relatively Low Power & Heat , Dual Core
Weaknesses: 1333FSB requires some newer boards and or bios
Summary: I coupled this processor with a MSI p35 board along with 2gb of patriot extreme ram and 2 Hitachi drives running in raid and what can i say the system is fast. Honestly the fastest system i have had. This is my first dual core and running multiple apps at the same time for the most part is much easier and more forgiving. Games run wonderfully with no lag and very fast load times due to the raid and cpu. With intels price cuts at the moment there is no reason for anyone to no get this cpu at its price. I am and still are an AMD guy but at the moment buying an AMD CPU is not the best bang for your buck. So if you can wait AMD is promising a come back like they always do, if not then get this i am sure it will quench your need for power.

Strengths: Performs as expected of speed. Best performance when compared to AMD processors.
Weaknesses: None so far, since there aren't other brands of similar products to compare with. At this point in time, since quad cores are not needed, this processor is sufficient for everyday use and gaming.
Summary: Just a heads up, this processor boots as the 3ghz in bios, but will display lower speed in windows like around 2ghz when no applications are running. This is due to Intel Speedstep (saves power when speed is not needed) not defective product. It scared me at first when I saw my cpu monitoring application fluactuate from 3ghz to 2ghz within a split second.

Strengths: Fast, very fast
Weaknesses: I don't see it
Summary: As many reviewer had said, this is really Mr.flash in CPU market. If you are like me who hesitated between E6850 and Q6600, then just go for this one. You won't be sorry. It leads the industry for the Performance/Price ratio.

Strengths: Fast, low temperature. Not too expensive.
Weaknesses: None so far.
Summary: I had just upgraded my desktop with the following components:
- Intel Core 2 Due E6850
- Asus P5K Deluxe/WiFi-AP
- CoolerMaster Real Power Pro 650W
- 2 x Crucial 2GB DDR2 804 Ballistix Kit
- PNY Nvidia GeForce 8500 GT 256 MB
The first problem I ran into was the system not booting from my HD (Maxtor DIAMONDMAX10 300GB 7200RPM 16MB3GB SATA). It turned out that I had to remove the jumper that forced the drive to SATA 1 speed (150 MB/sec). Once that jumper was removed, the installation of Windows XP completed successfully.
The next problem I had was that Windows XP did not recognize my Maxtor OneTouch III external drive when a FireWire cable was used. The drive was only seen when a USB cable was used. Not sure if this is a problem with XP or with the motherboard.
Anyways, the two problems above are not directly related to the CPU. Going back to the CPU, I was impressed with its speed and operating temperature. I'm using Intel's stock CPU fan and the CPU temperature is at 26C while fan is running at 2960 RPM.
The motherboard was running at little hot (55C) before I installed two 120mm chassis fan (1500 RPM). It's now at 40C.
Overall, I'm quite happy with this setup. Not too expensive. No major problems so far.

Strengths: very fast.It also runs cool. With a Zalman 9700 I get temps at 16c-18c each core
Weaknesses: None at all
Summary: I have been able to OC this to 4GHz and have temps in the middle 20c range.I then installed one of my modified Freezones and temps dropped to the single digits.I was then able to hit 4.6Ghz stable, wi

Strengths: Great performance/price point.
Weaknesses: The stock heatsink/fan mounting, while good in principle in trying to isolate vibration from the motherboard, is a bit difficult to install, especially in a tight case.
Summary: This CPU is running very hot w/the stock heatsink/fan inside my HTPC case. I think this may be as much the case as anything else (which I'm giving up on).

Strengths: Fast Processing
Fairly cool Temps
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I picked this up after the Intel price drop and is worth every penny. I primarily use it for gaming and there is zero lag. It runs Vista without any problems. I get idle temps in the 20 c range and load temps in the 30's C

Strengths: Fast, dual core, LGA 775(extremely fool-proof, no pins to bend), rather small in size, cool (temperature-wise), over-clock friendly, 1333mhz FSB, 9x multiplier, price, and much much more...
Weaknesses: ...Nothing that I can think of.
Summary: 2007-10-07 09:55:08 put this right into your motherboard and you're ready to go. i would highly recommend this processor, specially since the prices are extremely close to the 1000 piece value. Buy it and enjoy!

Strengths: Fast, low temps
Weaknesses: None
Summary: I am running it on ASUS Maximus Formula with 4GB Crucial Balistix and Vista x64. Processor overclocked to 3.6 with Zalman cooler, and Probe II show tempreratures around 15C idle and 25C under full load, even if you don't believe ASUS Probe, adding another 15C still a good temperature.

Weaknesses: EasyTune Pro 5 can be a little buggy. Depending on what other programs you have running (in startup) it may fault on startup and it will either no load when you try to start it again or it will.

Strengths: Fast 1333 MHz FSB, 3.0 GHz processor speed, easily overclocked, runs cool.
Weaknesses: None
Summary: The Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 Processor is an outstanding performer with it's 1333 MHz Front Side Bus and 3.0 GHz processor speed. I installed this processor on a new Gigabyte GA-X-38 DQ6 Motherboard and it performs flawlessly. It handles multiple applications with no problem at all and runs quite cool even with the stock heatsink and fan.

Strengths: Works very fast
Weaknesses: None at this point
Summary: Easy to install, just push pins down and it snaps into place. This processor can handle all of it and it's very fast and runs very cool. One great chip!

Strengths: Powerrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
Weaknesses: None
Summary: If you are tired of waiting for your programs to load and you are drumming your fingers waiting for things to process you may want to consider this processor. Everything I use is running many times faster than before with my ancient Athlon XP2400. The dual processor allows things like a virus scan to run unnoticed in the background.

Strengths: Small and fast
Weaknesses: none
Summary: Great chip, well documented and awesome websit support. This chip is fast, cool, and fits nicely with the Intel D975BX2 motherboard. The chip and motherboard could have been purchase as OEM products since the Intel website clearly provides all the information you could possibly need. Intel products rule!
