Space, Space & More SpaceStrengths: Only need one card; reliability of Sandisk Weakness: In case of corruption, damage or loss you'd lose a LOT of files. Like other SanDisk products I've used, this big card works like a charm, and for my purposes it's fast enough. I nearly always shoot RAW+JPGFINE and it's great not to have to rummage around in pocket or camera backpack for yet another 1GB card. I do worry about losing a slew of images if anything should happen to the card, but so far that's the only downside, and it's a potential one that's easy to live with, especially given SanDisk's reliability. Sandisk Ultra 8gb CF CardStrengths: Fast, large memory Weakness: none Prices have dropped for memory cards and this once is a great bargain. It is fast and with the large amount of memory, great for digital cameras and personal digital assistants. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Sandisk 8gbStrengths: Reliable, Fast read and write speeds, High capacity Weakness: Expensive This is an excellent card and I never had any problems with SanDisk. I usually shoot into RAW format so I need a reliable card. I don’t have to worry about running out of space anymore. Read/Write speeds are great. This card is ultra fast! I highly recommend it. It is relatively expensive, but you have to remember that you’re buying a brand name card that is reliable, and also SanDisk offers excellent customer service in case of any problems. 8GB Ultra II CF CardStrengths: I have come to trust the "Ultra II" line. Currently the price to value equation worked for me. I shoot RAW with a Canon 5D and was tiered of the smaller cards. These fit the bill perfectly for my application. Weakness: none 8GB gives me roughly 450 frames on my Canon 5D in RAW mode. I can cover an entire event with out having to worry about downloading, lugging along my laptop. Because these cards are not as fast as what's now available in download speeds the prices are much more reasonable then the faster cards. The write speeds exceed my camera's write capability. I shoot mostly social events and weddings. It is a rare moment where I run off the camera's cache and end up having to wait for the images to be written back to the card. Faster cards may help with a faster camera, but not for what I do. So in all - the value for my hard earned cash was dead on with the Ultra II's in the 8GB size. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? 8 GB CF cardStrengths: reliable and high C/P value Weakness: slow in data writing If you look for high speed CF card for DSLR, this one could not satisfy you. If you choose it as a storage device or you don't care high speed writing so much, its sweet price could be attractive. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Amazing cardStrengths: fast speed, big capability, works perfectly with my Canon 5D Weakness: none I got it a few days ago as $83 from buy.com after GCO. I have to say that it is perfect. I won't worry about capability for RAW file any more. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

SanDisk Ultra II 8.0 GBStrengths: Reliable, Flawless, Never Fail Weakness: None I only use SanDisk CF cards in my digital cameras and I have quite a few. So the decision to purchase the 8.0 GB CF card at a great price for my Canon DSLR through PriceGrabber.com was an easy one. SanDisk memory cards are the absolute best and I am always confident they will consistently perform to their manufactured specifications and my expections. I highly recommend this product. Great Big CF Card for Digital CamerasStrengths: Lots of storage space, Good Name brand, Very quick Weakness: None. I have quite a few of these cards: 512meg, 1GB, 2GB. And now this 8GB. Just like the others it is fast and reliable. With 8GB worth of storage you can take a lot of pictures, no need to carry multiple cards on a long vacation anymore. It works perfectly in my Nikon D70. Just be careful, 8GB worth of pictures is a lot to lose if you aren't careful! Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Wow, I finally got a legendary Ultra cardStrengths: Fast, huge storage. Weakness: None Great card, fast, probably last card you'll ever need. I have other cards but these generic cf cards are slow even though some of them claim to be fast. I purchased this card on sale at buy.com and its was a steal. I won't be going back to the generic brands anymore. I recommend this card to anyone who needs a big card for photography, pda or storage. Did you find it helpful or unhelpful? Top

Just Awesome!
Strengths: Very spacious, very fast
Weakness: Very expensive
I bought this for use with my Canon 5D and am extremely happy with it. It fits 498 RAW files and reads/writes extremely quickly. I've never even gotten to the point where I've been unable to snap any more photos due to the write speed getting in the way. Then again, I don't normally do action photography. In all, I can only think of two minor downsides: 1) it's expensive, and it's more economical to buy a bunch of smaller cards and 2) if you lose this one card, then there goes 8GB of data! However, not having to carry around a bunch of smaller cards and not having to switch cards frequently makes life much better.
