HP (Hewlett-Packard) Scanjet 7450c Sheetfed ScannerStrengths: Fast, easy setup. Weakness: Can't replace scanner glass if it gets marred or damaged. HP tells you to replace the whole scanner. Unacceptably poor quality text scans on paper that is not bright white background. Users manual inaccessible unless scanner is attached to computer. Color rendition pretty good but few photos scanned blue colors in photos, and displayed purple. This scanner is fast, but is too expensive for photo archiving, since the slightest burrs or dings on the glass appear on all scanned pictures and HP won't sell replacement glass. Strengths: Fast & Perfect scans every time. Document feeder very reliable.
Weakness: Takes long to warm up on initial run.
This is a very fast and reliable scanner. I have had many and this is by far the best. The speed, accuracy of the scan, and document feeder makes it a must have in a business or personal environment.
