great upgrade

Strengths: superior

Weakness: none

This version of Microsoft Office 2007 is intended for individuals who only need Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook on their computers. This is mostly enough for majority of them so if anyone else needs to get additional programs from the Office package will need to purchase better version

Office 2007 Standard (Full Product, PC)

Strengths: This is the well-known and widely used MS Office software that preforms very well.

Weakness: None found.

I purchased this software primarily for MS Word to create documents and for MS Outlook for email. I am running it with MS Vista and it works perfectly for my purposes.

Office 2007 Standard (Full Product, PC0

Strengths: The installation was very easy and all of the programs work well.

Weakness: Have to learn where everything is as the menus are different.

I have one reservation that I have not yet explored. I have not tried to update and have no indication if Microsoft will recognize the program as legitimate. I do hope so since there was no activation required on installation and no key to gain access was required even though one was included with the disk.

Good solid software suite, but not a giant leap from...

Strengths: More Powerpoint features for slicker products, some desktop publishing tools in Word, better Excel formula references

Weakness: Time needed to adjust to new interfaces (if you used previous version)

Overall this is a very good software product, with added features that make it better than the previous version. However, changes are not revolutionary enough to warrant a 'must upgrade' recommendation. New interfaces take a little time to get used to as you unlearn old habits. For users new to MS Office, you'll find this to be a powerful and feature-laden suite of productivity software.

Cumbersome software

Strengths: can save as PDF

Weakness: system hog; slow

There's not alot of reasons to upgrade to this version. The only thing I like is the ability to save as PDF document. Many of the features that I am accustomed to in the previous is hidden in this version. It's time-consuming to find the same functions that I always use in the 2003 version but have a difficult time finding in this 2007 version. It is also very slow to open and edit. Resource hog. I wouldn't upgrade to this if I had a choice.
