I bought a 1 GIG memory card from ebay, they did not give me an adopter for it, I bought this for 7 $ and was happy to use my 1 Gig memory stick with my sony dig camera. have not had any problems ... fits like a glove

Great product

Strengths: Perfect match with "Memory Stick Pro Duo". Affordable price (about $10).

Weakness: It doesn't have a weakness.

It is necessary to get the adapter when you are using equipment with "memory stick pro" platform and you are trying to expand your memory capacity with one of the new "memory stick pro duo".

The memory I bought didn't come with the adapter, so I had to buy it afterwards. Before getting the memory check the maximum capacity allowable by your equipment at Sony webpage. In my case my Camera DSC-V1 just supports up to 2GB.

Of course it doesn't work

I tried this product on three different cameras and four different sony sticks...it doesn't work. Perhaps that is why it is sold so cheap. Folks won't bother to send it back!

Memory Stick Duo Replacement Adapter

Strengths: It works perfectly. Just slip it into you the memory stick slot in your computer.

Weakness: None

The problem was my new Sony camera came with the newer "tiny" memory card. My computer..2 years old...did not have this smaller slot. The camera came with the USB cable, but I wanted to use the memory stick slot. The newer memory stick slips into the back of the Memory Stick Duo..and then you slip that into the computer. Works great. When done..just pull the smaller memory stick out of the duo adapter and put in back into your camera.

Strengths: Cheap, comes with some cards.

Weakness: Easily breakable, small enough to lose (not a major deal).

This adapter came with my Sony Ericsson phone. Worked alright for a week, then my computer simply wouldn't detect it, when it would still detect anything else.
