good one

Strengths: its toshiba, dvd burner, quiet, less heat

Weakness: resolution is a bit low

Its not a dual core but it is great in terms of power/weight ratio. Ran linux on it and it is 100% complaint for ubuntu linux. All working out ot the box. Great buy.

great laptop

Strengths: light, fast, clear lcd

Weakness: none

I have this product for 3 days. Everything is perfect except the reflection of the LCD and lack of the memory slot. It has a crystal LCD. It's bright but makes strong reflection. It makes my eyes feel tired soon when using this laptop during daytime. The other thing I feel a little pity is that there is only one memory slot available for upgrade.

Another Good Laptop from Toshiba

Strengths: small, lightweight, good battery life, multi format DVD-RW

Weakness: A lot of trial software which is a hassle and waste of time to uninstall.

This is my second laptop from Toshiba. I still have my 17" P35 but I needed something more portable with better battery life.
But this Toshiba M105-S3041 seems to have everything a student or person on the go needs. Display is very nice and it worked great right out of the box. Hard Drive is large enough to add my own Office software and many others. And the battery life is excellent.
Great product.

DEFECTIVE COMPUTER AND SERVICE AT CIRCUITCITY

Bought it Friday. Defective graphic card from the beggining blue screen. Took it back to circuitcity and they said there was nothing they could do since I already opened the box. They Demanded 15% restocking fee to take it back!! Or almost $120.00 for me to have it for 2 days!!!. I bought 3 laptops there in the past. I will not be comming around anymore. I am cancelling my Circuitcity credit card as well. What a disappointment! And then they wonder why their sales are down!

Enough for basic need

Strengths: reasonable price

Weakness: lees hard disk

I bought it from circuit city for 2 weeka ago. its performance is enough for my basic need whose want a laptop for searching internet and working on ms office only. So i don't need a lot of stuff in its system. i also need about 100 GB. hard disk but it has just 80 gb. By the way ,its reasonable price make me to decide it easily. If it has 100 GB HD ,it may be my best laptop.

This is my 'best buy' recommendation

Strengths: Great price, powerful, fast, pristine display, large hard drive, DVD-RW, wireless internet, network ready, very upgradeable.

Weakness: Lots of 'trial' software (Office 2003, Quickbooks, Macafee Antivirus, etc.; few fully loaded programs (MS Office Works is one)

I recently bought this for personal as well as work use and am extremely pleased. I have had good experience with the Toshiba Satellite in the past. . .I bought one for my daughter her sophmore year of college and used it for 10 years before I had to replace it (this month).

I think this is a very good value and, in fact, my employer will be purchasing one for our office. If you need to do volumes of number-crunching or graphics, you may want to buy the model one level up but this model should do just fine for most office tasks. And it's been pretty much 'plug & play' from downloading pictures and video from my camera to viewing audio/video presentations(PowerPoint, etc.).

Great PC!!

Weakness: There's a lot of Toshiba "applications" that are included that I find a waste of time... I do intend on upgrading the memory...I find it needs more for what I do.

Some people have mentioned that they don't like the glare when you're outside. They should know that this is to be EXPECTED when you have a glossy screen. I don't find it to be a problem.

I thought I had a problem with the speakers...it worked for a day or so, and then I could barely hear anything. I checked everything, including reinstalling drivers. Come to find out that there is a volume dial in about the same location where your hands lay that can easily turn. That dial should be placed elsewhere... :)

Nice laptop for a decent price

Strengths: Convenient keyboard, long battery life, lightweight, clear readable screen

Weakness: Frail plastic finish here and there, occasional cursor cursor move/drag glitch

Fine performance. Convenient keyboard even for big hands. Clear 14" screen picture. No reading problems even with my weak sight. Plastic finish is somewhat frail in a few places. Touchpad works better after disabling hotkeys areas. Sometimes cursor move is mistakenly interpreted as drag which could be irritating.

Overall nice lightweight laptop with a long battery life and proper build quality for a decent price. However will not suit intensive video processing and/or heavy gaming.

A great buy

Strengths: Highly portable, great value

Weakness: Lots of useless software that had to be removed

I absolutely love this computer. I bought speakers, a mouse, and 2GB more memory from the get-go, so I recommend those with the initial purchase. The computer travels across the country with me on a regular basis. The wi-fi is fabulous. I've used it in airports and coffeeshops in several states. I am a full-time college student taking several online classes, and this computer more than meets my needs. I'm also a MySpace junkie and have logged a lot of hours online with numerous windows open. I've had this computer for 7 months and haven't been able to get it to crash yet, in spite of frequently having 6 or more active windows open.

Excellent Laptop!

Strengths: Compact and lightweight, 80GB hard drive, 512MB RAM, DVD burner. The things I like best are the dedicated CD/DVD launch and control buttons, including play, stop, previous track and next track

Weakness: none for the price

If what you are looking for is a loaded thin-and-light weight laptop in excellent value and you don't want to worry about the necessary updates and compatibility issues, this is the perfect laptop for you! Few people is aware that the Toshiba Satellite M105-S3041 laptop is also a portable 14.1" widescreen DVD player. It has dedicated CD/DVD launch and control buttons, including play, stop, previous track and next track. It also equipped with S-Video and TV out so you watch DVD on your TV screen! I am very happy about the laptop.

TOSHIBA SATELLITE

Strengths: a lot of usb slots and one memory card reader and light

Weakness: LCD display can be better

I got this laptop from one officedepot deal and it is very efficeint for the price I paid for. It has helped me a lot and I will recommend it for the people looking for a low budget notebook. The only annoying thing is that there are a lot of unwanted software trial packages inside and I had to clean up a lot.

Good value for the price

Strengths: DVD writer, built-in wireless, good battery life, built-in multi-format memory card reader

Weakness: Bundle software are useless

This Toshiba laptop has good value for the price: DVD writer, built-in wireless, good battery life, 80GB hard disk drive, 512MB RAM. The laptop ran faster after the removal of useless bunble software (McAfee, AOL, Toshiba software, etc.) The built-in multi-format memory card reader is a big help for my needs of tranferring pictures I took my my digital camera without carrying an external card reader. I don't play games; only used this laptop for school and work. For the money I paid for this laptop ($450 AR), I was pleased with it.

Awesome Laptop

Strengths: Lightweight, great screen, good battery life

Weakness: Lots of unusable software, waste of time to uninstall

This is my second Toshiba Laptop and it does not dissappoint. I still have my other one with a 17" screen but I needed a more portable unit with better battery life. This one comes packed with enough power for any person on the go. Wireless is great. So far I have yet to have a problem with it. I highly recommend this product. Toshiba delivers again.

Decent mid-size notebook

Strengths: Good bright screen

Weakness: A bit thick and bulky, lots of Toshiba-installed garbage that needs cleaning up

I bought this computer for $500 after rebate. It weighs in at about 6lbs and is a bit heavy to carry around on a daily basis. However, the screen is bright and easy to view. I had to remove a lot of programs that Toshiba pre-installed - all hogging up system resources and hard drive space. This notebook could use more RAM.

Great machine

Strengths: Build quality

Weakness: Nothing major

One of the best machines in the market around $700. Great features, will satisfy almost every need of any home or office user. Good build quality, nothing plasticky or flimsy, quite unlike some cheaper machines out there.

Nice little machine

Strengths: pretty much everything you need, reasonable price, WIFI, DVDRW,

Weakness: battery life, keyboard design, preinstalled junk softwares

Bought this laptop last week from Office depot for my school and love the laptop for the price i paid.
It has basically everything i need for my work. I have put office 2003 and upgrade to XP pro. Thats it. It was all ready to go.
The think i don't like about this laptop was the keyboard design. You hardly have any space to rest your arm on the keyboard. I liked my sony better than this.
The battery life is not great either. Toshiba preinstalled many crappy softwares and trail versions of office and Mcafee which are a pain to delete. The speakers are not good either.
