Works just like I wanted

Strengths: 4gigs of space, WOW!!!

Weakness: Nothing so far

Tested this card out in my PSP and Sony camera. With my psp, it works great. Works exactly as I hoped with no problems. Didn't have any issues transferring data from my 1 gig to the new 4 gig. With the camera, it works great as well. Can't complain. This is a must for for those looking for the most bang for their buck.

MicroSD(HC) to Memory Stick PRO Duo Adapter - Rocks!

Strengths: No need to buy Sony’s proprietary format – stick with SD across all your devices.

Weakness: None

Note: This review is of a SanDisk MicroSDHC card with a Memory Stick Pro Duo adapter. When you look at the Pricegrabber results for "Memory Stick Pro Duo", some of the stores offerong "oem" items may be offering this config in place of a real Sony Memory Stick (remember, PriceGrabber results change all the time - I got this item from Cellmem).

This is a really cool option for people who don’t want to get caught up in Sony’s proprietary format. You slip a MicroSD or MicroSDHC card into the Memory Stick Pro Duo adapter, and now you have a Memory Stick. The adapter supports cards over 4GB (SDHC), so it works with any currently available size of MicroSD.

I’ve used this config in various Sony consumer and professional HD video cameras, as well as the Sony DCS-W300 pocket still camera, with MicroSD cards ranging from 1GB to 8GB, and it works perfectly in all cases. Note that all the Sony cameras I tested were less than 3 years old, and the vendor does warn that some Sony devices may not work with 4GB or higher memory using the adapter. I suspect this applies to older Sony cameras that may not support 4GB or more, regardless of the type of memory supplied.

This is a worthy option to consider before becoming invested in a proprietary format, or if you already have MicroSD cards (from a Smart Phone, for example) and would like to stick with that format across many different devices.

just works

Strengths: works as expected

Weakness: n/a

Works as expected and advertised. Easily managed file transfers with PSP and PC, both pictures and videos, without any issues. This MS Pro Duo works exactly like one would expect.

4GB MS Pro Duo

Strengths: 4 GB, Price, Free adapter

Weakness: None

I purchased this memory stick for $80 and let me tell you that my PSP loves it. I have over 2 GB of mp3s, some pics and a movie and there's still space left. For my price, I cannot recommend it enough. And it's not like you are purchasing some memory stick made in someones basement in China, it's actually a brand name, historically good quality, SanDisk. This memory stick is fantastic and I will purchase another in the near future, you should do the same.

Stable memory card with good transfer rates

Strengths: Good transfer speeds. Better price than Sony's own brand.

Weakness: None.

I bought the Sandisk Memory Stick Pro Duo to work with a Sony PSP to hold movie clips and other media files. The 4 GB of space is plenty of room to hold a LOT of movie files and photos. Compared with Sony's own brand of Memory Stick Pro Duo, the Sandisk easily wins out since it runs faster and is MUCH less expensive. So far, the Sandisk card has worked flawlessly in every card reader I've tried, and of course the PSP.

Still not enough

Strengths: Large capacity, good transfer speeds, cheaper than Sony's brand with equal performance

Weakness: MS Pro Duo, in general, is still overpriced in cost/MB compared to other flash memory formats.

I bought this for use for my PSP to play homebrew, movies, and now to be able to store many PSX games for the PSP. I have found that it's still not enough. I still found myself in the position where I was not able to put on an entire library of music, a few movies, and a few games.
True, I could simply put what I want to play/listen to/view one viewing at a time, but I like to plan long-term and we still haven't reached the capacity where you can load it up and be ready for any situation for an entire month or so without even thinking of adding/removing things.
Don't get me wrong, I'm still extremely pleased with its performance and it's much better than my old 1GB card, but if you're looking to REALLY load it up for a long time, you might want to wait until an 8GB version is released in the near future.

Works a treat on PSP!

Strengths: * 3,904MB of space to fill. * Fast transfer rate (3.5MB/sec) Transferred 422MB in 2min.

Purpose of buying this stick was solely for the PSP and it does the job well. All I have ever purchased for the psp are Sandisk brand memory and I don't see any speed decrease in transfers from this one versus the 2gb or 1gb (blue sticks). This should hold more than enough to keep you busy and from a dependable brand.

Well the first thing I did with my 4gb which is the same as I do for all of my sticks is Format them through the PSP. Perhaps you didnt format them with the PSP first?

Great

Strengths: Good Brand

Weakness: Will be cheaper in a week

Another great SanDisk memory card. I prefer these over Sony, etc. Works flawlessly in the PSP and Sony camera. Even comes with the adapter to use it as a older, full size memory stick. Good transfer speed, seemes faster than the 32 MB one that came with the PSP, however that has no data to back it up. Excellent Duo Stick.

A must for PSP users

Strengths: 4GB capacity. Comes with adapter

Weakness: Slow

Finally 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo went below $100 if you buy with an rebate offer or any retailer coupon. I purchased 2GB one several month ago for the same price. 4GB capacity is really huge, but it takes a while to fill the capacity with contents. There is a faster version, if you want go fast.

SanDisk 4GB Memory Stick Pro Duo

Strengths: Name-brand memory stick bought from reputable retailer. 4GB is a lot of storage for media on my PSP.

Weakness: In my oppinion there are less devices that are compatible with Memory Stick Pro Duo than there is that are compatible with SD cards.

With natural process of falling prices of memory formats, it seems like only a matter of months before that high capacity, expensive memory stick turns into the "not-the-latest-but-still-more-space-than-I'd-need" and into the "yeah-now-I-can-justify-paying-that-much-for-it" memory stick. Even though, 4GB is not a huge deal anymore, it is still a lot of stick for your money. One of the most important things about memory sticks is to buy from a reputable seller. There are many counterfeit memory sticks on eBay and elsewhere that are bad imitations. Many of these fakes look just like the real thing unless you open them up (which most people are not willing to do). As for this Pro Duo, I am very happy with the 4GB of space it gives me. I watch a lot of movies on my PSP and also look forward to their PS1 emulation download service, supposedly starting this fall. I use this only for my PSP and am aware that certain cameras also use the Pro and Prop Duo sticks (this one came with an adapter to let you use it on devices that use Memory Stick Pro's) but, to me, to format does not seem as popular (or as affordable) as the Secure Digital (SD) Card format. It is even smaller than an SD card, though, which is something.

The "Weakness" you posted is irrelevant: review the product, not the format.

he's saying its weakness is that it's expensive.it's expenesive because it only works with the psp. unlike sd that works with everything. making sd more desiarable

Good product at unbeatable price

Strengths: large capacity at a reasonable price

Weakness: can't think of any!!

I bought this MS pro card for my Sony Ericsson phone. The card came pre-formatted, and with an adapter, so transferring files from the original smaller-capacity card that came with the phone was a snap. Initially the phone did not recognize the card, but taking out the card and putting it back in re-initialized the phone and it was recognized. It has been working great ever since.

Sandisk 4GB MS Pro Duo

Strengths: Huge Capacity, Speed.

This is an excellent MS Pro Duo stick for high-megapixel Sony cameras and the PSP, where i use it. it lets me store many movies & music files simultaneously and will turn out to be useful when the new GPS accessory comes out later this year. the memory stick has good speed and works as davertised. make sure you check your device for compatibility with such large capacity media before going out and buying one. these are still a tad expensive compared to other media formats.

SanDisk4 GB Memory Stick PRO Duo

Strengths: Large capacity, works fine

Weakness: None that I am aware of

This stick was used in my Sony dsc-120 digital camera. It seems to work fine. The original stick that came with the camera was "Ultra 15 ms" but I can't see any difference, even on video clips. I would buy another, but this 4 GB stick will satisfy my needs for the forseeable future.

Great capacity and price point

Strengths: Higher quality Sandisk is better than Sony branded cards. A perfect capacity for PSP. Comes with free adaptor.

Weakness: Speed can be a time issue if transferring a lot of files.

Prices on these cards is falling rapidly. I paid as much for this 4GB as I did for my 1GB a little over a year ago. It performs very well on my PSP and the capacity is very good. You can put MP3's on it and have a 4GB MP3 player out of your PSP. The Sandisk brand cards have been shown to be better performance than the Sony branded cards. Just be careful where you buy from, there are too many fakes out there. Only buy from a reputable dealer.

Good quality memory stick

Strengths: large capacity

Weakness: none

This card is excellent, and can be used with a variety of products. But, if you are looking for high speed, I would recommend the Ultra II cards for the speed boost. Otherwise, this card is a wise choice!

Great Game media

Strengths: huge capacity

Weakness: None yet

This memory card works just as well as the gaming version in my psp, while it includes an adapter so that I don't have to plug in my psp everytime I transfer files. I definitely recommend for psp fans. It is necessary for your guys. Use it for games and movies. It's a wonderful thing. I like it.
